Halo 2 with marketing and release for 2004: 40%-60% of buyers don't have Halo 1
(lots of money for Bungie!)

Halo 2 without marketing and release for 2003: 10%-1% of buyers don't have Halo 1
(not as much money for Bungie...)

Think, with the awesome graphics, advanced gameplay, and extensive storyline, who woundn't want it? But first, the public needs to know its there!

When I talked with a guy online playing Backgammon, I asked him if he plays Halo. He said "Been there. Done that. BORING!" Why would he buy Halo 2 without any kind of demostration of Halo 2 to show what its capable of? Bungie is going to market it. A suprise release is not a good move, and they know it.
