In Response To: A stupid theory (charybdis) : Oh well, feel free to rip me apart. Existance can not travel in negative dimensions. Time travel is a horrible, horrible plot device that serves to negate any suspension in a story. In other words, time travels sucks ass and should not be used as a plot device in any serious fasion. To be more direct to your theory, Halo is designed to "stop" the Flood. Whatever tragedy befell the Forerunner due to the Flood would not be "stopped" by resetting time, in fact it'd cause repetition of the event. Further, if it were a device to reset time, why wasn't it used? Lastly, if it were a device to reset time, why did 343 Guilty Spark tell us that it's designed to destroy sentient life in the galaxy? That has nothing to do with time travel. We were told it's a destructive weapon, so your theory is rather baseless. Please, avoid time travel theories. They suck. All of them. All the time.
