| A stupid theory | |

Someone else has probably thought of this before, but: I've been thinking about the method Halo uses to destroy everything, and how it is only designed to get rid of creatures the Flood could infect. What if it just sends the Galaxy back in time to when there was no sentient evolved life? This would presumably 'kill' off the Forerunners and everything else, but it would also kill off the Flood. So I guess the loophole for the Flood 'dying' is that they came from another place, but they just went dormant for some reason. The Forerunner society spread and advanced to the point where they discovered the hibernating Flood race and created the Halo's to study them. Then they got out of hand, which forced the Forerunner to send everything back in time so the Flood can't spread. Of course this theory doesn't work for many reasons, and I really don't know why I spent the time writing it out anymore. :( Oh well, feel free to rip me apart. | |
