Maybe next time...
I'm tied up at work, though LA is a few hours of flying time away from where I live.
NYC will be more difficut to fly to, and I'd need to stay in a hotel there; I wonder what might be some convenient hotel on a commuter-rail line (NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, subway lines to the outer parts of the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens).
But if worst comes to worst, there is always next year in the Bay Area.
