Apologies to all.
The correct username - the first half of this phase of the puzzle - is, indeed, 'archive'. Grasshopper's analysis was correct - the fact that the ACTUAL decryption reads 'arcgive' is a result of an unfortunate flaw in the encryption. Nobody's perfect. (Even Grasshopper got it wrong in his analysis! :) )
If it makes anyone feel any better, I just rechecked the final portion of the puzzle, and it DOES decrypt properly - there won't be any more problems like this one.
