Sorry to de-lurk this way, but I think this method gives ARCGIVE, not ARCHIVE.
If I have the method right, the numeric sequence is:
020 011 022 026 002 015 024
(plus 7 or minus 19 =)
001 018 003 007 009 022 005
or ARCGIVE.
Could still be the answer (all #'s <26 is a good sign), but it's not an actual word...
