OK, again on the tic-tac-toe theme.
Suppose that the symbol in G1 shows how to write letters in a ttt board:
DEF
GHI
JKL
A ttt board has 9 slots, and the glyph itself has 9 slots: eight numbers around and a central image. We are trying to decipher the central image of the ttt board.
Thus: G1 = H.
