Ok, this reminds me of the end of a stapler, well more like a staple gun (anyone else, or am I just crazy?)
Anyway, the [ shape is the staple, and the I shape is the thingy which the staples rest on. I have no idea how this'll help us, really.

Ok, after some thinking (or something). A staple is made out of steel, the main ingredient in steel is iron (Fe). Hrm, no help there. There's also tin (Sn), lead (Pb), copper (Cu), and other metal staples.
Also, there is another meaning for 'staple'. Like in food, or main ingredient in something. The number 7 could be said to be a staple of this puzzle (7 Glyphs), and of Bungie (the Tru7h!). So I propose that G1=G! ARGH!!
