Good find, & great investigating... but unfortunately I'm quite sure it's a mathematical trick.. no matter what series of numbers you pick this will still happen. Example:
10 - 13 = -3
13 - 15 = -2
15 - 7 = 8
7 - 30 = -23
30 - 2 = 28
2 - 10 = -8
---------------
sum: 0
At least, it's happened this way with two seperate sets of random numbers that I've picked... I could be wrong, but I suspect it's just a mathematical trick.
