Good point.
I was assuming that ACG was already "decoded" as mRNA (called "messenger" RNA.) So, two solutions are possible.
If ACG is DNA, the resultant mRNA codon will be UGC, to produce the amino acid Cysteine.
If ACG is mRNA, it is the result of the DNA codon TGC, to produce the amino acid Threonine.
In case this helps, the standard abbreviations for Cysteine is CYS, and for Threonine is THR.
Isn't "UGC" a Marathon acronym?
