The Beal Cipher or some such. They were a hoax, but yea, same concept. If your interested, the looping alphabet didn't work, so that's a dead end without more info.
As for what I mentioned earlier: Did anyone notice that you can add the outer numbers on glyph 7 and get 74? And if you take glyph 4 using ACG as numbers (137) you can also get that by adding numbers from that glyph? I wanted a third set to make sure it was more than just a fluke, but worth a try. If this holds true for a third set, I would call it planning one way or the other and then say that all the middle symbols are numeric in orgin even if the final answer isn't.
Remember, the prize is deeply rooted in marathon. I wouldn't assume that everything is, but I'll look over the terminals some tomorrow. My next goal is to find the keys rather than use brute force.
